As a former attorney turned end-of-life and legacy consultant, I specialize in guiding individuals and families through the emotional and practical aspects of aging, loss, and legacy. Through my practice, Begin With The End, I offer discreet, high-touch support that complements traditional estate planning. My services are designed for those who value thoughtful preparation and wish to approach these life transitions with clarity and compassion. Whether you're navigating the complexities of solo aging, supporting aging parents, or seeking to articulate your legacy, I provide personalized guidance to ensure your plans reflect your values and provide peace of mind. For families in grief, I offer after loss support to help overwhelmed executors and families work through the paperwork and logistics to close the estate. Planning with the end in mind can be overwhelming. I offer virtual end of life planning services, legacy planning, death doula services, and after loss support. In-person services are available for those in NYC and Brooklyn. Created for individuals of all ages — these services are a lasting gift for you and your loved ones. Let’s talk about the things that really matter. My goal is to create a safe space to learn and talk about death, dying & grief. This includes accountability in completing advance care directives & end-of-life planning, creating legacy projects, facilitating difficult conversations within families and helping loved ones navigate all of the logistics after a loss. I bring deep compassion, active listening, practical resources and a healthy dose of humor to my work. I’m in your corner, whether it’s to help initiate hard conversation with your parents or facing your own end-of-life plans. With years of training, a law degree, intimate knowledge of how to navigate the logistics of death, and a healthy dose of humor — we’re going to get through this together.

I have always been curious about death and dying. My relationship to it changed when my mother suffered injuries in a car accident (she’s ok now!) I went from procrastinating on locating her advance care directives and getting her power of attorney advanced directives notarized (they’d been collecting dust on my desk for months) to scrambling. It forced me to understand the importance of these papers and also the scope of the logistics involved in caregiving or after someone dies. It was overwhelming, frustrating and lonely. I was so caught up in all of the to-do’s that I wasn’t able to just be a worried daughter, unable to process or experience the feelings that naturally come up when someone you love is hurt or dying. I knew there must be a better way to get and feel support in order to free up mental space to be present for oneself and loved ones. I am a trained end-of-life doula, mediator, after loss consultant, recovering lawyer and female founded small business owner (a lifelong learner at heart). I received my BA from the University of Rochester and my JD from Brooklyn Law School. I completed my doula training through Going with Grace, mediation training through New York Peace Institute and Elder Decisions, grief training through Living Through Loss Counselling Society and is NEDA proficient. I completed my After Loss training through PALS. Through my trainings, I have learned to have more open and thoughtful conversations with family and friends around this nuanced (and often taboo-feeling) topic. Death and grief affect us all—the more we connect with our families, communities, and ourselves, the less fear plays into these important discussions and decisions. There’s nothing I love more than skipping the small talk and connecting with people on a deeper level. As soon as someone hears what I do, I can noticeably see the relief on their face at finding someone comfortable talking about death, dying and grief. I split my time between Brooklyn, NY and upstate NY so that I can enjoy both the energy of city life and the stillness of the mountains. My snuggly, but mischievous, pup Penny keeps me company.

A plan is the ultimate gift you can leave a loved one. Asking where do I even begin? You’re not alone—many people feel unprepared to plan for death. I see loved ones everyday who are struggling to deal with their grief while hunting for passwords, subscriptions, car titles, mortgage accounts and bills. As a death doula, attorney, and end-of-life planner I’m here to help with personalized support in creating your end of life plans, organizing digital assets and making sure your legal and health directives are completed and off your to-do list. It's easy to feel overwhelmed following the loss of a loved one. I offer guidance and support navigating post-death responsibilities. From paperwork and account closures, to finding the right referrals, to providing emotional support, to helping executors and families find time and energy by taking tasks off your plate, I’m here to help. We can create a manageable roadmap that allows you the space to grieve, heal, and get the practical matters taken care of. Do any of the following resonate? - You recognize the importance of end of life planning but are procrastinating because you feel overwhelmed with where to start - You worry about the chaos your family might face because your paperwork and digital life aren’t organized - You or a loved one received a healthcare diagnosis, and are looking for emotional and practical support preparing for what comes next - You need help facilitating conversations with your parents—about their wishes, if they've done any estate planning, and more - You experienced a loss and are feeling overwhelmed navigating logistics and decisions If so, you’re in the right place.

Peace of mind, with the end in mind.

End-of-Life Planning Bring peace of mind to your family and friends by preparing for your future, so they don’t have to. Create a holistic plan that includes understanding and completing important documents like advance directives, taking inventory of your financial health, making decisions about who’s responsible for honoring your wishes, and organizing your real and digital assets, while ensuring your plan reflects who you are and protects who you love.

After-Loss Support It's easy to feel overwhelmed by all of the tasks that follow the death of a loved one. I offer guidance and support to navigate the complexities of post-loss responsibilities. From assisting with paperwork and account closures, conducting research, finding the right referral partners, and providing emotional support, I am here to ease your overwhelm. Working together, we will create a manageable roadmap that allows you the space to grieve, heal, and get the practical matters completed.

Legacy Work Designed to preserve and celebrate your loved one’s unique stories and celebrate their life. It’s my honor to help capture a person’s essence creatively through storytelling and technology. Whether they are here with us to share their stories themselves or you’re ready to sort through the piles of old pictures that never made it into an album, I’m here to help.

Death Doula Support Also called an end-of-life doula, focused on providing emotional, practical, and logistical support to individuals and their families as they navigate the end-of-life journey. This support can include respite care, creating warm and loving spaces for the dying, helping families navigate pre-planning funerals or other arrangements, listening and being present for fears and anxieties that come up around death, helping write last letters to families or friends, capturing last wishes, and help with finding other types of supportive services for families and those who are dying, as well as supporting those who may not have family or whose family lives far away.

For those experiencing death, dying, or grief, the world can feel like a lonely place. It can be overwhelming to handle all the emotional and logistical aspects while also actively processing or grieving a loss. Doulas are non-medical professionals who help navigate the emotional, practical and logistical components of death, dying and grief.

Doula comes from the Greek word for “women who serve.” Just as a birth doula helps a family navigate the beginnings of life, a death doula helps a family come to terms and navigate the end. Everyone deserves to feel supported at the end. I’m here so you don’t have to go through the experience alone.

Who is it for?

Experiencing Health Concerns You or a person you love have received a diagnosis and need emotional and/or logistical support.

Planning For The Future You’re ready to start planning for the future and desire guidance and assistance in navigating decisions around advance directives, end-of-life plans, legacy projects, or funeral arrangements.

Needing Grief Support You are grieving or feel anticipatory grief over the loss of a loved one and want to talk to someone who is comfortable having uncomfortable conversations. I can hold space for your feelings and help ease the overwhelm.

Executor responsibilities can be overwhelming—there are forms to file, accounts to close, and loved ones to care for. I help families about a month after a death (or sooner if needed) by offering after-loss support that includes both logistics and grief navigation.

Typically, I begin working with families about a month after a loss. If you need help more immediately, I’m here for that as well.

I offer compassionate emotional support to help families process their grief. This includes active listening, facilitating conversations about feelings and memories, and providing a safe space to navigate the complexities of loss. I also guide families through the logistical challenges, which can alleviate some emotional burdens.

Absolutely. Many of my clients are adult children helping their parents get organized. I help you start the conversation, get clarity on what’s in place, and figure out what’s missing—so you’re not left scrambling in an emergency.

Definitely. I work alongside your legal and financial team, helping to organize, prepare, and ensure that your plan is holistic and truly reflects your values. I fill in the emotional and practical gaps that legal documents alone don’t always cover.

End-of-life planning is about more than just legal documents — it’s about thinking through the emotional, practical, and logistical decisions that will impact your loved ones when you're gone or if you become unable to speak for yourself. Estate planning tends to focus on legal tools like wills and trusts. My work blends the two, supporting both the paperwork and the people side of things.

Estate planners often handle the legal side. I focus on the human side—the emotional, digital, logistical, and legacy components of preparing for what’s next. I’m here for the conversations and questions that don’t fit neatly into a will.

While I’m a former attorney, I don’t draft your estate planning documents. My focus is educating, helping think through your choices, and providing the space to make decisions that feel best for you and your family. Beyond the legal, we focus on getting your important documents and digital world organized so that should something happen, your family isn’t left struggling.

If you’re over 18, it’s time to start planning. Whether you're starting a family, recently divorced, dealing with a diagnosis (your own or a loved one’s), or just trying to get organized for the future, planning now brings peace of mind. I work with solo agers, adult children supporting aging parents, and those navigating major life transitions who want to reduce the stress on their loved ones later.

Not at all. Most of my clients are in their 30s to 60s—solo agers, sandwich generation caregivers, and busy professionals who want to be proactive about planning. You don’t have to wait for a crisis to get your affairs in order.

Planning doesn’t have to feel heavy. My approach is gentle and grounded—I blend practical tools with emotional support, and we move at your pace. I create a space where it's okay to feel overwhelmed, unsure, or even a little resistant.

Yes, I specialize in helping adult children gently start these conversations with their parents. Whether you need a script, a strategy, or a third-party to help facilitate the dialogue, we’ll find a way to approach it with care and clarity.

No, I provide virtual services and can help anywhere you're located.
